Toronto Loves Haiti

What happens when you put Canadian musicians, a silent auction and a bunch Torontonians under one roof ? You raise over $20,000 for Haiti !
On January 25th 2010, Haiti Je T’aime, did just that.
The event, which was held at College Street’s Revival Bar, featured DJ sets from Eon of Bedouin Soundclash, k-os, Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene, Blk Btlz, Starting From Scratch and DJ Paul E Lopez and was hosted by MTV's Nichole Holness and Aliya-Jasmine Sovani. Much Music’s Sarah Taylor and  Matte Babel also came out to show their support. The auction, which took place below the music, featured over fifty different items to bid on, including kicks signed by the entire Raptors team, concert tickets, jewelry, gift cards and more. Every single item was bid on and won, and 100% of the proceeds from the auction, as well as cover at the door, went directly to Plan Canada in order to assist with relief efforts in Haiti.
To anyone who missed out on the event, or wishes to make a further donation, please visit Plan Canada to show your support.
